UP Man, Father Of Two, Goes For Hernia Surgery. Doctors Discover Ovary And Uterus In His Body

A group of doctors, performing surgery on a man, was astonished to discover female reproductive organs inside his body. The man complained of excruciating stomach discomfort and rushed to get medical attention. An ultrasound revealed that he had developed a hernia as a result of a piece of muscle in his lower stomach pressing on other internal organs. It’s noteworthy that 46-year-old Rajgir Mistri is a father of two.

According to India Today, Mistri attended a free hernia check-up camp where he met with Dr. Narendra Dev, a professor at BRD Medical College.

Dr. Dev found an ovary and an undeveloped uterus in Mistri’s body during the hernia surgery.

The doctor stated that Mistri lacked feminine traits and had a congenital defect. Additionally, the report stated that Mistri is currently well and recovering.

It’s not rare for doctors to discover strange objects within patients’ bodies. Recently, healthcare providers at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi took a needle out of a woman’s buttocks.

Three years ago, the needle became trapped deeply in her hip muscles, but she did not know.

The woman, Rambha Devi, was reportedly engrossed in stitching when the incident took place, according to an ANI report. She is said to have stepped up for something at the moment, slipped and fell back onto the needle. She felt a sudden, searing pain in her hips without realising what had happened.

Upon examination, she discovered a partially fractured needle on the bed and speculated that the remaining portion could have separated somewhere within the room.

Days of searching turned up nothing, leading her to believe it had fallen out.

But as the years passed, she continued to have a persistent soreness in her buttocks.

Only lately, when the pain got intolerable, did Rambha Devi make the decision to get medical attention. Doctors discovered the shocking object—the “long lost” needle—deeply embedded in her hip muscles during an X-ray.

The physician described the process to ANI, saying, “After taking the incision and starting dissection, it was very difficult to locate the needle.”

According to him, it took several intraoperative X-rays to find the needle exactly. Eventually, the team located the needle and removed it without breaking it.

“It was a highly complex task, but their expertise and teamwork paid off.”
