Imagine dining at a restaurant built right above a grave—sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? A new video shared by a woman on Instagram reveals just such a place. This McDonald’s, situated in Rome, is constructed over an archaeological site where diners can enjoy their meals while gazing at ancient skeletons preserved beneath the restaurant’s floor. The video showcases this unusual setting, drawing attention to its fascinating blend of modern dining and historical remains.

It can be noticed that the company designed an extraordinary dining experience by placing a museum beneath the restaurant’s glass floor. Right below the transparent glass, there is an old road where skeletons are found. This strange set-up provides a thrilling adventure to the individuals who come here so that they can enjoy their meals while looking down at the museum. However, many call it as the world’s creepiest McDonalds.

It is believed that it was created when workers discovered a 2000-year-old road while building a fast-food outlet. Archaeologists helped to dig the site on the outskirts of Rome and found three bodies, which are believed to have been buried here in the 3rd century. The paved road is connected to the Appian Way which is one of the busiest roads in ancient Rome, which is set to have been closed during the Roman Empire. Afterwards, it was rebuilt as a burial site.

Therefore, the customers at the restaurant can dine above the dead and look beneath the transparent glass panel to see the ancient street and the skeletons.

The video was shared by a woman from the account @KassidyandJames and has received 1.34 crore views and shared among 2.05 lakh users on Instagram. It has received 7.41 lakh likes and many people have shared their feedback by commenting. Around 11,500 people have commented. Many users have questioned the need to build this restaurant over an archaeological site in the comment section whereas many people have expressed their fear claiming it is a scary place.
