Would you dare to wear a heavy lehenga and walk about in the streets? No right, the weight of these exquisite outfits would never make this seem like a compelling idea. To add to that you would not want to grab the attention of passersby. But it seems someone was up for this challenge. A video has gone viral on social media, showing a young woman raising attention as she walks through the streets of London wearing a crimson bridal lehenga. Online users were quite surprised to see the clip and gave mixed reactions.
The reel was posted by Shraddha, a Spanish-Indian model who also works as a digital marketer. In the clip, the model first rides the London metro dressed as a bride in a crimson-embroidered lehenga, heavy jewellery, and makeup. As she boards the train, all eyes are on her, as passengers appear impressed by her choice of clothes. She then arrives at her destination, takes a stroll down the streets, and stuns everyone on the road. Some were seen taking photos of her, while others looked at her curiously. The embedded text reads, “’Reactions to a desi top and skirt in London.” The caption along with the post says, “Giving y’all anxiety through the screen.”

Since being shared, the video has garnered more than 43 million views and a slew of reactions.
Some were simply amazed at the stunt she pulled and admired “Her confidence level,” while also praising her. A user said she looked, “Elegant and beautiful.”
Many netizens joked about the reel saying, “In India people will think you are a runaway bride. An account remarked, “They are rather shocked to see somebody so lightly dressed in winter.”
However, many users felt that this was not needed and that the creator was only trying to get attention. A user wrote, “Embarrassing. Who actually wears a wedding lehenga & goes to streets or metro stations like that? People don’t even do that in India. Attention seeking behaviour in the name of “cultural appreciation” to get some likes & followers.”
But many defended the model and said, “To everyone in the comments shouting that she is seeking attention wearing a lehenga in a metro. You don’t know why she has done that! She might have gone for a photoshoot or she might be travelling to attend any occasion.” Some simply stated, “Gorgeous! Yes To wearing what you like where you like.”
