COVID-FREE ROSTER
The Bills reserve/COVID-19 list has been cleared of players after receivers Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis, offensive linemen Jon Feliciano and Cody Ford, defensive end A.J. Epenesa and cornerback Cam Lewis were activated over a two-day span this week.
Starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei is also back after missing one game for personal reasons.
COVID CONCERNS
No. 2 quarterback Feleipe Franks and safety Richie Grant joined receiver Tajae Sharpe, defensive end Marlon Davidson, defensive tackle Tyeler Davison, outside linebacker Brandon Copeland, outside linebacker James Vaughters and inside linebacker Dorian Etheridge on Atlantas reserve/COVID-19 list.
Grant, a second-round pick from Central Florida, has recently taken over the top nickel cornerback duties. If hes not available, Darren Hall and Avery Williams will get more snaps. TaQuon Graham has been bumped up from the second unit to fill in for Davison.
CLOSING IN
Atlanta’s Kyle Pitts, the fourth overall draft pick, needs 128 yards receiving to break Mike Ditkas NFL record by a rookie tight end. Against Detroit, Pitts had six catches for 102 yards, the best coming against tight coverage on a 35-yard reception down the right sideline in the third quarter.
Quarterback Matt Ryan’s 366 career touchdowns passing are tied with Eli Manning for ninth on the NFL list.
UNFAMILIAR FOES
The Falcons are 7-5 against the Bills and making just their sixth trip to Orchard Park, New York, and first since a 24-16 win on Sept. 25, 2005. Atlantas last road game against the Bills, a 34-31 overtime victory in 2013, was played indoors in Toronto.
