UK King’s Guard Horse Bites Tourist Posing For Photo Causing Her To Faint, Days After Biting Indian Traveller
Days after a horse from the King's Guard bit an Indian tourist (who stood too close to the King’s Guard) the horse bit another sightseer.

A tourist was left shocked when she was bitten by a horse from the King’s Guard as she tried to pose for a photo on Whitehall in central London. The footage of the incident has gone viral on social media which shows the woman donning a black baseball cap and a Pink Floyd T-shirt crying out in pain as the horse bites her right arm.

The horses of the King’s Guard are well trained, according to reports by UK-based media outlets, but often get irritated if tourists come too close to them.

Tourists, as evidenced by videos on social media, often are seen standing too close to the horse of the King’s Guard, posing for photographs while entirely avoiding the sign which reads: “Beware, horse may kick or bite. Don’t touch the reins, thank you”.

“Whilst every effort is made to ensure public safety, horses may bite or kick,” the army said in a statement.

In the video, passersby are captured checking in on the woman as she faded in and out of consciousness.

The biting comes days after a video of an Indian tourist getting bitten by a horse of the King’s Guard while posing for a photo. The woman wearing a white salwar is seen losing her balance as the horse bites her before leaving the frame of the camera with her fellow traveller.

“It’s interesting because there’s a sign directly next to the horse that says the horses may bite or kick and ‘please don’t touch the reins,” horse behaviour expert Suzanne Rogers said.

“Maybe they should say ‘please don’t touch any part of the horse’, because it’s being in that close proximity to multiple people over a long period that the horses can, feel very uncomfortable with,” she further added, while speaking to The Standard UK.
