Following a month-long cricketing action, the ICC ODI World Cup has reached the final stage. Among ten participating nations, India and Australia have established their superiority and are set to face off in the ultimate showdown.
The highly anticipated final will be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. To celebrate the cricket extravaganza, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has planned a glittery closing ceremony on Sunday. One of the highlights of the event will be an entertaining aerial show, which will be performed by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

The visual spectacle will run for 10 minutes before the match, according to a report by the PTI. Rehearsals for the air show will take place on Friday and Saturday, the Defence PRO for Gujarat said in a statement.
Follow all the action from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 including the World Cup schedule, World Cup 2023 results, and ICC Cricket World Cup points table. Players are vying to top the World Cup 2023 Most Runs and World Cup 2023 Most Wickets charts.
The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, which was formed in 1996, consists of nine aircraft. It has already put on several demonstrations across the country. However, it will be the first time that Surya Kiran will perform at a sporting event. Its presentation is characterised by loop manoeuvres performed in victory formation, barrel roll manoeuvres, and the creation of different shapes in the sky.
India has been a team to watch in this ODI World Cup. After winning all of the league games, Rohit Sharma and Co. got the better of New Zealand in the semi-final. It was the first time that the Men in Blue could beat the Kiwis in the knockout stage of a World Cup. The occasion was also quite special for Virat Kohli, who completed a half-century of ODI tons, breaking a long-standing record of his idol Sachin Tendulkar.
Apart from Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer put up some enthralling shows with the bat. While Rohit produced a blazing 47-run knock during the powerplay, Gill made 88 runs off 66 deliveries. Iyer, on the other hand, slammed his second-consecutive century, scoring 117 runs. Riding on their contributions, India put up a huge 397 runs on the board.
Meanwhile, Australia booked their ticket to the final by defeating South Africa in the second semi-final. It was a low-scoring affair in Kolkata. Batting first, the Proteas managed to set a target of 213 runs. Despite losing some quick wickets during the middle overs, Australia succeeded in completing the chase in 47.2 overs with three wickets in hand.
