Carlos Alcaraz decided to pull off his signature racket juggling trick during a break within the US Open 2023 quarterfinal game, wooing tennis fans with his skills

Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has taken the internet by storm once again with his signature racket juggle at the US Open 2023. Alcaraz has been impressing the tennis world in the last couple of years at the highest level.

It usually requires both a ball and a racket to put the Spaniard’s skill on display, but not this time. During his US Open quarterfinal match against Alexander Zverev, he started spinning his racket in the smoothest way possible. Alcaraz performed this move as he was waiting for the German who had taken a medical timeout.

The mesmerising sequence drove the crowd crazy also compelling the US Open’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) account to post the video online. The clip was accompanied by a statement that read, “The man who can do it all.” It sparked several reactions from fans all over the world who are in awe of the Spaniard’s natural flair for the sport.

One of the users said that it was only possible for him to juggle a racket like Alcaraz in his dreams. He wrote, “I juggle a racket just like that in my dreams”.

While another user tried to explain the science behind it. He wrote, “If you’re on the ATP Tour and can’t do this, this means that your hand-eye coordination isn’t at par.”

One user was so confident in Alcaraz’s talent that she wrote, “I believe he could play tennis with his eyes closed.”

“I love that he is still a kid at heart, he doesn’t let the moment get bigger than him. Such a legend all-around kid,” wrote another netizen.

A user seemed to be impressed with his concluding catch at the end of his ‘party trick’. He posted, “The catch at the end is cool.”

Carlos Alcaraz won the prestigious Wimbledon title earlier this year in an epic final against Novak Djokovic. He had lost to the Serbian in the semi-finals of the French Open. Alcaraz had missed the Australian Open after sustaining a leg injury. In his current campaign, Alcaraz managed to emerge victorious against Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

He beat the German 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 to secure a semi-final spot. He will next face world no.3 Daniil Medvedev in the semi-final this Friday. The winner of that match will then take on the victor of the Djokovic-Ben Shelton semi-final.

Carlos Alcaraz will be looking to make history by bagging back-to-back title triumphs in the US Open. He already won his first US Open title in 2023 against Norway’s Casper Ruud. No competitor has managed to win consecutive titles in the premier tournament since Roger Federer. The Swiss tennis legend had bagged five successive US Open titles from 2004 to 2008.
