Honda's CB300R revs up for the BS6.2 era with unchanged power and weight, ready to take on the sub-400cc bike category's best.

In a strategic move to meet the latest BS6.2/OBD-2 emissions standards, Honda is leaving no stone unturned.

Recently, the company launched the much-admired CB300R naked bike in the country at a price tag of Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Underneath its sleek exterior, the CB300R houses a dynamic liquid-cooled 286cc single-cylinder engine that delivers a top power of 31 bhp and a torque of 27.5 Nm. Remarkably, these power-packed numbers have remained undeterred even in the face of the strictest emission norms. The engine still pairs seamlessly with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slip and assist clutch for a smoother ride. The CB300R retains its slim and agile 146kg kerb weight.

Furthermore, the CB300R comes equipped with an emergency brake light feature that flashes the indicators rapidly when you brake suddenly, ensuring your safety on the road. It’s also available in two distinctive colors – the captivating Pearl Spartan Red and the bold Matte Massive Grey Metallic.

The Honda CB300R is stepping into the fiercely contested sub-400cc naked bike category, where it’ll rival the likes of KTM 390 Duke (Rs 3.11 lakh), the charismatic Triumph Speed 400 (Rs 2.33 lakh), the ever-stylish BMW G 310 R (Rs 2.90 lakh), and the spirited TVS Apache RTR 310 (starting at Rs 2.43 lakh).
