As per the pictures, Aditya Roy Kapoor’s motorbike came with a lot of chrome out of the factory. The word “chrome” refers to chromium, a hard metallic element that is resistant to corrosion and tarnishing. Chrome was used to finish the engine cover and case area. Even the exhaust and fuel tank also similarly had chrome finishes.
Many of these chrome components were either replaced or repainted as part of the restoration. The motorcycle’s engine compartment, for instance, now has a matte black finish. Most likely, this was done to improve the motorcycle’s appearance and simplify maintenance.
The post on Instagram does not include specifics about the restoration done. But most of the motorcycle’s panels, including the headlight, headlamp cover, mudguard, turn indicators, and fuel tank, appear to have been restored. The motorcycle’s gear and brake levers appear to have been replaced with new units. Additionally, the ORVMs, like the stock ones, retain their chrome finish.
The motorcycle’s exhaust has been matte-blacked, and in addition to the engine, the bend pipe has been restored to a like-new condition.
The seats on Aditya Roy Kapoor’s motorcycle appear to be different as well. It looks like the seat has been customised or reupholstered. The motorcycle still has steel rims with spokes, which have been painted black to match the overall look of the bike. This motorcycle’s tail light and turn indicators appear to be brand new.
The original tyres were replaced with new ones from Reise Moto, a German brand that makes tyres for touring and classic motorcycles. The finished product is clean and appears to be a brand-new bike straight off the production line.
