Planning to go somewhere, using Mumbai-Pune Express today? If yes, then we would suggest you drop your plan as the Pune-bound lane will be non-operation for two hours today. It has been reported by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) that the stretch will be blocked between 12 pm to 2 pm due to the installation of a gantry system.

It has been reported that the decision to create gantry on the route has been taken to reduce the number of accidents on the project, which is worth around Rs 340 crores.

Mumbai-Pune Expressway Block For Gantry Installation

MSRDC says the gantry system work will take place in the Bhor Ghat section, which will impact the overall traffic. During the above-mentioned period, all movement by vehicles including cars, motorcycles, and heavy trucks will be stopped. The traffic is expected to resume post-work.

Alternate Route to Connect Mumbai-Pune Expressway

As per the details shared by an assistant police inspector of highway safety patrol, he says that cars or any vehicles moving towards Pune will be given a different route. They all will be diverted from Shedung phata, which falls at a distance of 8 km from the working site. From there, the stretch will take the commuters to Shingroba ghat and Magic Point junction, and will connect the motorway ahead towards Pune.
