Subaru Issues Recall of Over 13,000 Vehicles in China
The recall has been issued due to faulty airbags.

Japanese auto major Subaru will recall 13,336 imported vehicles in China's mainland next year due to defective airbags which can pose safety risks to passengers. The recall is set to begin on January 16 next year, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.

When the passenger airbags of the affected vehicles inflate, the gas generators inside may become damaged and cause flying debris, posing safety risks to passengers, state-run Xinhua quoted the statement as saying.

Subaru has promised to replace the defective parts free of charge.
