Maharani Star Amit Sial Was Set To Quit Acting, Says OTT Saved His Career

Amit Sial has gained a lot of prominence in Bollywood through his fantastic acting skills. He has been a part of many iconic films and shows and enjoys a great fan following among the audience. Recently, he has been receiving a lot of appreciation for his performance in the third season of the superhit show Maharani. After the success of the show, the actor interacted with the media and talked about his journey as an actor. One of the highlights of his interview was that he talked about how the OTT space changed his life. He also opened up about planning to quit the industry for the fourth time before Inside Edge changed things for him.

While talking to the media, Amit Sial said, “OTT has changed my world around, the frequency of work before was very low, but with Inside Edge, the kind of opportunity I got was great. I was completely down and out, frustrated; it was the fourth time I wanted to quit. I put all of it into that show and became that person who clicked with the audience, and I found my uniqueness in it.” He added that today, the times have changed, and he has been able to afford a living for himself in an expensive city like Mumbai. He added that he is extremely grateful for the love he has received from the audience and the OTT world.

Sial also talked about the content being dished out quickly from the OTT as well. He said that films and shows are being churned out quickly on OTT as well. He further said that the OTT world developed when there was a need for fresh content. But now the amount of content has also been increasing. As a result, things are being dished out quickly. He also added that every medium gets diluted and then has to be reinvented, and this would happen with the OTT as well.

Amit Sial’s first prominent role came in the 2010 hit film Love Sex Aur Dhokha. The film was a great success, and his acting was highly appreciated. After that, he starred in popular films like Titli, Guddu Rangeela, Raid and more. But the majority of his success came in the OTT world with shows like Inside Edge, Mirzapur, Jamtara, Kathmandu Connection and Maharani. The actor was recently seen in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande.
