Both the gold and silver prices on Wednesday, March 3 witnessed a sharp fall as the cost of one gram of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 4,442, after seeing a decline of Rs 52 from the earlier rate of Rs 4,494. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold stood at Rs 44,420 after witnessing a fall of Rs 520 from Rs 44,940. According to Good Returns, the rate of 24-carat gold also declined following the market trend as for 10 grams, the price is Rs 45,420, falling by Rs 520.

Delhi: In the national capital, the price of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 44,250 per 10 grams. Whereas for buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold, one will have to pay Rs 48,280.
Chennai: For 22-carat gold, you will have to take out Rs 42,660 per 10 grams, while for 24-carat gold the cost isRs 46,540.
Kolkata: The rate of 22-carat gold is Rs 44,640 in the city, while it stands atRs 47,340 for 24-carat gold.
Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 44,420, while you will have to pay Rs 45,420 for 24-carat gold.
International Price of Gold
In the international market, the rate of gold decreased by 0.25 percent to USD 1,733.90 per ounce on Wednesday. Whereas, in the last 30 days, the performance of gold has declined by 6.18 percent which is equivalent to USD 114.20.
Silver prices
Compared to the cost of the yellowmetal on the previous day, the silver price has witnessed a marginal decline of Rs 9.10 as the rate stood at Rs 666 per 10 grams from previous rates at Rs 675.10.
Silver rates in Metro Cities
You will have to pay Rs 66,600 for buying 1kg of silver ornaments or jewellery in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Whereas, in Chennai and Hyderabad,you need to pay Rs 72,000 for the same quantity of metal.
