The rates of gold and silver on Tuesday, March 9, increased marginally. According to Good Returns, the price rose by Rs 16 for one gram of 22-carat gold and stood at Rs 4,368 compared to the earlier price of Rs 4,352. Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold stood at Rs 43,680 after witnessing an increase of Rs 160 from Rs 43,520. The price of 24-carat gold also surged by Rs 160 for 10 grams to stand at Rs 44,680 from the earlier rate of Rs 44, 520 following the same trend.
Various states of the country also marked changes in the price of the yellow metal following the same path. Here are the details:
Delhi: The rate of 22-carat gold in the national capital stood at Rs 44,150 per 10 grams. While buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold one will have to pay Rs 48,160.
Chennai: For 22-carat gold, the buyer will have to pay Rs 42,210 per 10 grams while for 24-carat gold Rs 46,050.
Kolkata: The rate of the yellow metal in Kolkata stood at Rs 44, 120 for 10 grams while for 24-carat of it is Rs 46,760 per 10 grams.
Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 43,680, while the purchaser of the metal will have to pay Rs 44,680 for 24-carat gold.
International Price of Gold
The rate of gold has increased in the international market by 0.30 percent to USD 1,687.90 per ounce on Tuesday. However, the performance of the yellow metal in the last 30 days has declined by 7.01 percent which is equivalent to USD 127.30.
Silver Prices
Silver prices witnessed a marginal hike as the prices rose by Rs 8 to stand at Rs 665 compared to Rs 657 on the previous day.
Silver Rates in Metro Cities
The rate of silver in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata stood at Rs 66,500 for one kilogram as the costs were the same in these cities. Whereas you will have to pay more amount if you want to but the metal in Chennai and Hyderabad that is Rs 71,000 for the same quantity of metal.
