Thalapathy Vijay is considered to be one of the top actors in the Tamil movie industry. He was last seen in Vamshi Paidipally’s Varisu, a family entertainer and received mixed response from the audience. Now, Vijay has collaborated with Lokesh Kanagaraj for the second time after Master, for Leo. The upcoming movie has created quite a buzz amongst fans who are eagerly waiting for the release of the film.
Reportedly, Vijay’s last two films, Beast and Varisu had a bleak performance at the box office. Hence, fans have placed all the expectations on Leo, expecting it to be a blockbuster hit. As per the latest buzz, the movie has a running time of 2 hours and 39 minutes and is slated to hit the theatres on October 19, 2023.
Produced by Seven Screen Studio, Leo is all set to star Thalapathy Vijay in the lead. It also stars Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin, Mathew Thomas, Priya Anand and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. This marks Vijay’s 67th movie, which was tentatively named Thalapathy 67 when the title wasn’t decided.
As of now, the movie has garnered much hype and attention with its latest set of poster releases. The makers have released posters for different languages. The Hindi poster reveals Thalapathy aggressively grabbing Sanjay Dutt by the throat. The text written on it reads, “Keep calm and face the devil.”
Meanwhile, the Tamil poster shows the actor sharpening a weapon and the text reads, “Keep calm and prepare for battle.”
The song titled Naa Ready was released on June 22, 2023, on the occasion of Vijay’s birthday. The track has already amassed over 100 million views on YouTube.
Thalapathy Vijay also has another movie in his pipeline tentatively titled Thalapathy 68. Previously, he starred in the movie Varisu with Rashmika Mandanna and Shaam in the lead. It is the story of a happy-go-lucky man who has to take over his father’s business empire when the latter falls sick.
