“You guys keep delivering with the bat. They got scattered fields, they are changing who they wanted to bowl, they are no longer thinking about how to get you guys out, and they are going ultra-defensive. All of that is down to Abhi (Abhishek Sharma) and Trav (Travis Head), the way you guys started today,” stated Cummins in a locker room talk that was shared on X, by SRH.

“Incredible knock, the way you just kept taking the game on for the whole 20 overs was unreal. Shoutout to all the other guys as well. Klaas (Klaasen), Saucy (Aiden Markram) and Samad there at the end. Unreal.”

Cummins then laid down the gauntlet, as he expounded on the fear that the Sunrisers team strikes down on all the teams in the IPL, attributing it to their habits so far.

“I’ll keep saying, you’ll hear this from us all the time, that’s how we want to play. It’s not gonna work every game, but I can tell you everyone’s terrified when they come up against us and we got to blow some teams out of the water before they’ve even walked out on the field. So, another great day, well done,” stated a spirited Cummins.
