The Indian women’s cricket team will begin their hunt for a maiden ICC T20 World Cup title against New Zealand on October 4 in Sylhet later this year. The ICC on Sunday revealed the groups and fixtures for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in Bangladesh later this year.

Amongst the two groups the ten teams have been split into, India have been placed alongside defending champions Australia in Group A which also features New Zealand, Pakistan and a qualifier.
Each side will play four group matches at the tournament, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the cut-throat semi-finals.

The tournament will kickstart from October 3 when England face South Africa in Dhaka with the final slated for October 20.
Before the start of the WC, the Indian Women’s team is set to play 3 T20Is on July 5, 7 and 9 against South Africa, preceding the World Cup.
India will begin their campaign with a match against New Zealand in Sylhet on the 4th of October and will follow it up with a high-intensity clash against Pakistan on October 6.
