Star Pakistan batter Babar Azam has left the internet in splits after choosing Naseem Shah over Jasprit Bumrah to bowl in the final phase of the run chase in T20. During an interview with Zalmi TV, Babar was asked whom would he choose among Jasprit Bumrah and Naseem Shah in a situation where he needs to defend 10 runs from 6 balls.

Without batting an eye, Babar promptly chose his Pakistan teammate saying, “Naseem Shah”. This particular segment from the interview has now gone viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Explaining his choice further in the interview, Babar Azam showered his praises on Naseem Shah. As per several media outlets, he said, “Firstly, I felt so happy for Nasseem, for the way he returned to cricket after injury and the way he recovered. His skills are exceptional. We don’t often see talent like this in Pakistan”.

Babar Azam also gave the example of Shaheen Shah Afridi when talking about Naseem Shah. “There are others too, like Shaheen Shah Afridi. Shaheen is in a class of his own. But Naseem is on a similar trajectory, gaining valuable experience”, Babar concluded.
