New Zealand have yet to taste success in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. The Black Caps are already knocked out of the tournament after losing their first two matches of Group C with Afghanistan and West Indies making it to the Super 8 round on the back of three victories each.
New Zealand will now look to make the most out of the remaining two matches and wrap up the T20 World Cup on a positive note. The Kiwis will take on Uganda in their next Group C fixture, which will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.
Despite having some talented players like Devon Conway, Glenn Philips and Daryl Mitchell, the New Zealand batting unit has looked quite pale in this competition.
In the opening match against Afghanistan, the Kane Williamson-led side were bundled out for 75 runs while chasing 160. The situation was the same in the following game where New Zealand fell 13 runs short of a 150-run target against West Indies.
Meanwhile, Uganda have so far featured in three matches and triumphed in one of them. They beat Papua New Guinea by three wickets in a low-scoring clash to register the first-ever win in a T20 World Cup.
