Same Mere Paas Bhi Hai: Axar Patel Trolls Rishabh Pant After He Posts Picture With T20 World Cup Medal
Star Indian all-rounder Axar Patel took a cheeky dig at Rishabh Pant after he flaunted his T20 World Cup-winning medal on Instagram by sharing a photo post.

The Indian cricket team ended a long wait of 11 years for a major ICC trophy on June 29, 2024, by getting the better of South Africa by seven runs in the T20 World Cup final played in Barbados. Rishabh Pant, who played a big role in helping India become T20 World Cup champions for the second time, showed off the prized accolade by sharing a post on Instagram.

The 26-year-old left-handed batter posted a couple of pictures with his T20 World Cup winner’s medal and captioned the post, “This medal hits you differently.” The photo post by Pant grabbed Axar Patel’s attention, and the star all-rounder took a cheeky dig at his teammate.

Axar hilariously reminded Pant that he had also won the same medal. “Bhai same mere paas bhi hai, [Bro, I also have the same thing with me],” Axar sarcastically wrote in the comments section with a few laughing emojis.

Many reacted to Rishabh Pant’s post and appreciated the wicketkeeper’s impactful performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Some of them highlighted how Pant made a comeback after enduring a horrible car accident in December 2022.

“For every setback, there is a comeback,” admitted a fan. Another social media user labeled Pant as the ‘future’ captain of Team India. One fan wanted Pant to win another medal by clinching the ICC Champions Trophy next year.

The T20 World Cup 2024 was an important tournament for Rishabh Pant, who met with a life-threatening road accident on December 30, 2022. The star cricketer, who remained out of action for almost 15 months, was picked in the Indian team over the likes of KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan, and he lived up to expectations by amassing a total of 171 runs in eight matches. He batted at No. 3 for India throughout the tournament and also completed 13 catches behind the wickets.

Axar, on the other hand, also played a pivotal role in India’s title win with both bat and ball. He scored 92 runs with the bat, including 47 in the final against South Africa, and dismissed nine batters.
