Bumrah had a fantastic T20 World Cup campaign and picked up crucial wickets for the Rohit Sharma-led side in crunch situations. His performance in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa won him plaudits. His sensational spell in the slog overs of the summit clash helped India gain an upper hand over the proteas.

Jasprit Bumrah recently shared a video encapsulating his T20 World Cup victory celebration, along with his teammates at the Marine Drive in Mumbai. The video also showed the right-arm fast bowler proudly holding the T20 World Cup trophy at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, where India had won the title under MS Dhoni’s leadership in 2011.

Virat Kohli recently showered immense praise on Jasprit Bumrah, acknowledging the pacer’s vital contributions to Team India’s T20 World win.

“I want everyone to applaud a guy who has brought us back into games again and again and again. And what he did in the last five overs was phenomenal. A huge round of applause to Jasprit Bumrah, please. We want him to play for as long as he wants, he is a once-in-a-generation player,” Kohli had said.

Jasprit Bumrah capped off his stellar T20 World Cup 2024 campaign picking up 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and an economy of 4.17. Thanks to spectacular performances with the ball, Bumrah was adjudged T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament.
