The centralised counselling process for B.Tech courses offered by participating institutes is open to candidates who passed the HPCET admission exam.

The Himachal Pradesh Technical University, HPTU has started the first round of the counselling process for admissions after the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test, HPCET 2024 today, July 25. The centralised counselling process for B.Tech courses offered by participating institutes is open to candidates who passed the HPCET admission exam. Candidates can apply at himtu.ac.in.

Candidates are ranked according to their JEE Main scores in the first round of counselling. The All India Quota Seats, Tuition Fee Waiver, and Reserved categories are among the other divisions applicable for this round. Candidates who fall into these categories are eligible to attend counselling sessions beginning at 10:00 AM from today, July 25. They will be required to report to the assigned centre by 4 PM on July 29. The remaining seats after this round will be announced at 5 PM on July 29. The counselling session will be held at the HPTU campus at Daruhi, Hamirpur.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and HPCET 2024 results will be combined to determine seat allocation, if there are any seats left, additional rounds will be held based on Class 12 marks.

HPCET 2024 Round 1 Counselling: Documents Required

— Graduation, Higher Secondary Part-I, and Indian School Certificates (Class 10 and 12)

— A certificate of passing the qualifying test

— A character certificate from the previous institution’s head

— The mark sheet issued by any board or university

— JEE Main Scorecard/Result 2024

— A certificate for the reserved category, if applicable

— Certificate of Physical Challenge (if applicable)

— Income Certificate (must be submitted if applied under the Tuition Fee Waiver Programme).

— A bona fide or domicile certificate issued by an executive or sub-divisional magistrate, if applicable

— A genuine or domicile certificate issued by the Executive Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Himachal Pradesh candidates)

— A Kashmiri immigrant’s domicile certificate

A set of self-attested copies of all original documentation  must be brought with them for verification during the counselling session. It is recommended that candidates should check the official HPCET counselling schedule, which can be found on the HIMTU website, for any further details and dates of individual categories.
