The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon release the counselling schedule for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for postgraduate courses, NEET PG 2024. Once released candidates will be able to download the official NEET PG Counselling 2024 schedule from the official website- mcc.nic.in. The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC will conduct NEET PG 2024 counselling for 50% of AIQ (All India Quota) seats for government, private, and government-aided medical colleges and the schedule for the same will be released soon.
Candidates will be required to fill out the application form on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in to participate in the counselling process. The MCC is expected to conduct three rounds of counselling for the NEET PG 2024 admissions to various postgraduate courses. The Committee will also conduct an online stray vacancy and mop-up round to fill the seats remaining after the first three rounds of counselling.
To secure a seat, students must select their preferred courses and colleges during the choice-filling process, ranking them in order of preference. Candidates will be allotted seats based on NEET PG scores, NEET PG 2024 rank and available seats among several other criteria.
After each counselling round, the NEET PG 2024 Counselling Results or the seat allotment results will be released on MCC’s websites. Once the candidates are allotted seats, they will be required to report to the respective colleges within the specified dates to complete the admission and document verification process. Candidates must carry all necessary documents required for the document verification.
NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted by the NBEMS across 416 centres in 170 cities. NEET PG Result 2024 was declared on August 23, 2024. The students who have qualified the examination will have the opportunity to secure admission to 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG Diploma, and 1,338 DNB CET seats.
NEET PG exam is conducted each year in a CBT mode for admission to various master courses in the medical field viz MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma courses across India.
