Noida Education Dept Reserves 25% Seats For EWS Students In Top Private Schools
The Gautam Buddha Nagar district Basic Education Department has selected 1,036 schools, where 25% of seats will be reserved under the RTE scheme.

For the first time, the Education Department in Noida is initiating early admissions for children from economically weaker sections (EWS) who are eligible under the Right to Education Act (RTE) for the academic session 2025-26.

The dream of studying in prestigious private schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar district can now become a reality for children from low-income families. The monthly fees in these schools range from Rs 10,000 to 15,000, making it challenging for ordinary families to afford. However, as in previous years, the RTE Act provides an opportunity for free admissions, with the process set to begin in December.

The District Basic Education Department has selected 1,036 schools, where 25% of seats will be reserved under the RTE scheme. In the previous academic session, there were 16,516 seats available in private schools, and this year the number has risen to approximately 17,000. The admission process will be conducted in four phases.

The first phase will start on December 1 and conclude on December 19, with the lottery results announced on December 24. The second phase will run from January 1 to January 19, with the lottery on January 24. Similarly, the third phase will be held from February 1 to February 19, with the lottery on February 24. The fourth and final phase will begin on March 1, and end on March 19, with the lottery results declared on March 24. Children selected through the application process will gain admission to schools via the lottery system. This scheme offers significant advantages for children from poor and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Mukesh Singh, a senior professional in the Gender and Equity Cell of the UP Basic Education Department, noted that with all schools mapped and registered on the RTE portal, more underprivileged students will have the chance to study in elite private schools. Under the RTE scheme, children will receive quality education, helping them grow both professionally and personally, and securing a brighter future for them.
