The registration deadline for the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2024, conducted by Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune, has concluded. The deadline to apply for SLAT 2024 and register for undergraduate programs including BA/BBA (Hons.), was April 12. However, students interested in the LLM programme can apply for the All India Admission Test (AIAT) before April 18.
The SLAT 2024 in BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) is slated to be conducted on May 5 and May 11, 2024. Meanwhile, SLAT serves as a gateway for admissions to its integrated law programmes for the 2024–25 academic session in the esteemed LLM programme. The programmes aim to train students with a profound understanding of legal principles, preparing them for diverse legal careers.
In addition to that, the institution offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide a strong foundation in legal studies to candidates who are aspiring specifically to the LLB programme such as BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), LLB (3-Year), and LLM.
Applicants were required to pay a non-refundable and non-transferable application fee of Rs 2,250 at the time of registration. Additionally, they were charged a programme registration fee of Rs 1,000 for each programme that they applied for.
SLAT 2024: Selection Process
The candidates will be evaluated based on three rounds, namely the SLAT exam, the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and the Personal Interview.
Talking about the SLAT, it consists of 60 objective-type questions based on Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. While the Writing Ability Test requires applicants to write a brief essay on a given topic. Lastly, the Personal Interview assesses candidates’ abilities and skills, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
