Meanwhile, UPSC Prelims Paper 2, General Studies 2 (CSAT), requires proficiency in English comprehension, interpersonal and communication skills, logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, analysis, decision-making and data interpretation involving charts, graphs, tables and data sufficiency. The CSAT syllabus further delves into mathematics, mental ability, reasoning and data interpretation.
UPSC Prelims Paper 2 CSAT Syllabus
Under CSAT Math, topics such as the number system, LCM and HCF, decimals, percentages and geometry demand attention. Similarly, CSAT General Mental Ability includes concepts like profit and loss, time and distance, measurement and probability. The CSAT Reasoning section encompasses various topics like analogy, classification, series, coding-decoding, and logical reasoning. Moreover, CSAT Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency explore table charts, pie charts and arithmetic reasoning among others.
