Many students opt to pursue a course in Master of Business Administration (MBA) after they graduate from eminent institutions across the country. Students prefer colleges that give them a good learning experience and excellent employment prospects as well. One such college, where the students need not go through the hassle of clearing the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam is the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. On June 28, IIT Madras launched a new MBA program in Digital Maritime and Supply Chain. The IIT Madras new MBA program is designed to cater to the needs of working professionals globally. The IIT Madras Departments of Management Studies and Ocean Engineering along with industry partner i-maritime Consultancy have developed this 24-month program. The new program seeks to equip global professionals with the skills necessary to navigate the rapidly evolving digital landscape of maritime trade and supply chain management.
Eligibility for admission
The aspirants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60 percent marks and a minimum of two years of full-time work experience.
Admission Process
The admission process comprises an online IIT Madras Admission Test followed by personal interviews for shortlisted candidates. Applications have already started for this program with the first batch starting in September 2024.

Previous Employment Opportunities
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has called for applications for its Executive MBA (EMBA) Degree Program, which is designed specifically for mid-career working professionals. In this course, clearing the CAT exam was not required. This two-year program was a rigorous yet practice-oriented curriculum offered by the IIT Madras’ Department of Management Studies. This department is ranked in the top 10 Business schools in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2022 Ranking.
