Liverpool: Andy Carroll insists he has no desire to leave Liverpool despite persistent speculation surrounding his future at the club.

Several national newspapers reported on Sunday that the Anfield side had approached Manchester City over a possible swap deal involving Carroll and troubled Argentine Carlos Tevez, only for the Premier League leaders to reject the idea.

A return to Newcastle has also been mooted, but Carroll insists he is loving life at under Kenny Dalglish despite failing to shine since his £35 million move on January deadline day last year. Dalglish, in turn, has been a staunch defender of the striker publicly.

"I'm just here," Carroll told reporters. "I've signed a contract here and this is the team I'm playing for. I love it here. All the lads are great with me in training and away from the training ground everyone has been great with me as well."

Asked if he had any regrets about moving to Anfield, Carroll replied: "Not at all. The club has been great with me and I'm enjoying it here."

"Winning in mid-week [against Manchester City in the League Cup] and getting to the final and then Man U [Manchester United] coming here, beating them and getting through, it's a great feeling."

Carroll has scored just six goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for the club since his move to Anfield, and did start in the FA Cup fourth-round victory over Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

A contender last year for England's Euro 2012 squad, the 23-year-old Carroll has dropped well down the pecking order and has been in and out of the Liverpool side despite fellow forward Luis Suarez serving a long ban. His teammates have had difficulty refining their passing game to accommodate a tall frontman, but Dalglish thinks Liverpool may finally have cracked it.

"Everybody knows Andy's prowess in the air, we've tried our best to develop that further and we'll also work and be patient with him," Dalglish told ITV Sport. "His commitment was superb today so as long as you've got the right attitude and the right commitment we've got a chance of working with it."
