Football super agent Jorge Mendes got married on Sunday in Portugal to his long-term partner Sandra Barbosa, and the gift he got from one of his most noted clients made many jaws drop.
Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo, who was the Best Man at his agent Mendes's wedding, has given him a gift of a lifetime. According to a report in Portuguese newspaper Record, Ronaldo bought the groom a pretty stunning wedding present - "A whole Greek island."
According to the report, Ronaldo has spent a jaw-dropping 50 million euros to buy the island for his agent. Mendes is one of the richest men in Portugal with a fortune believed to be in excess of €100 million.
One of the most powerful men in the sport, Mendes manages high-profile players and managers. Among his client list is Jose Mourinho, Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo to name a few.
The famous personalities who attended Mendes' wedding were Sir Alex Ferguson, former Manchester United CEO David Gill and Real Madrid president Perez.
