Napoli's Victor Osimhen Agrees on a 4-Year Deal With Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli on Deadline Day: Report
The Nigerian striker will make the move to Saudi Arabia once the fine details of the contract has been agreed upon by the clubs and the player.

Nigerian international and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen might have decided on his next club as the star forward is set to make a move to the Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ahli.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the striker is set to make a move to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League for a deal reportedly worth €80 million with additional add-ons. It is suggested that both clubs are working on the final details of the agreement before making an official announcement.

Osimhen was supposedly in talks to make a move to the London-based club, Chelsea but there was never an agreement in place.

The striker has been one of the standout players for Napoli who played a pivotal role in winning the Serie A title in the 2022-23 season. But since then, he has not been able to deliver as expected which could have prompted the club to cash in on the player.

Osimhen made the move to Naples from the French club Lille in the 2020-21 season. His 2022-23 season was his best performance where he scored 31 goals and five assists in the season across the 39 games he participated in.

Al-Ahli finished third in the league with a total of 65 points last season and the club will be looking to challenge the likes of Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr for the domestic title. The addition of the Nigerian striker could be what they need to bolster the attack.

Currently, the club has forwards like Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Franck Kessie as notable players, but the club currently lacks a traditional #9 which could be Osimhen should all the details of the contract be finalized.

Napoli have already agreed on a deal to bring in the Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku who would replace Osimhen should the latter exit. The club under the management of Antonio Conte will be eager to back in the mix for a domestic title after a disastrous 10th-place finish last year.
