Czech Republic coach Michal Bilek has received some disappointing news on the injury front ahead of Euro 2012 as experienced midfielder Tomas Rosicky has picked up a leg injury that could keep him out of action for a while.
The Arsenal player will visit a doctor to undergo further examination, before rejoining the national squad as they prepare for this summer's European championship.
"The muscle is not torn but it is necessary for me to consult a doctor. After that, all being well I will rejoin the squad," said Rosicky. Meanwhile, Bilek has opted to add Viktoria Plzen midfielder Vladimir Darida to the squad as precautionary measure.
"For the moment there is no great panic as regarding the fitness of Rosicky. But if towards the end of the week Tomas is still not 100 per cent ready then Darida will be selected for the Euros, at the expense of an already selected player." said Bilek. Czech Republic will meet Greece, Poland and Russia in Group A.
