London: Arsene Wenger's tranfer budget is reportedly set to swell to 60 million pounds, with Arsenal believed to have struck a property deal that will see the Frenchman receive a financial windfall.
According to The News of the World, the Gunners are set to announce the sale of some property in Queensland Road to Barratt Homes, in a deal which is expected to generate about 25 million pounds for the club.
It has also been reported that the former Monaco boss already has 35 million pounds worth of funds in his transfer kitty, so putting two and two together would take his spending power to 60 million pounds.
Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri have both been linked with moves away from the north London club, but it has been speculated that the manager could persuade the duo to stay by bringing in the talent necessary to achieve success.
Arsenal have gone trophy-less for the past six seasons, during which time they have financed the move from their traditional Highbury home and the construction of the 60,000 capacity Emirates Stadium, while retaining their top-four status in the Premier League and continuing to compete in the Champions League.
Now, however, Arsenal fans are demanding greater success on the pitch - and specifically some silverware - with Wenger's previous frugality in the transfer market coming under sustained criticism.
