American reality television series The Kardashians is known to display the drama in the Kardashian and Jenner family. The latest episode of The Kardashians was in no way different. Telecasted on Thursday, November 2, Kourtney Kardashian raised concerns about her daughter Penelope Disick’s much-evident dislike for Tristan Thompson. NBA player Tristan is the ex-partner of Kourtney’s sister — Khloe Kardashian. According to a report by TMZ, Khloe, and Tristam broke up after the latter was caught in an act of infidelity with Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods. Now, Kourtney claimed that Penelope might have gotten the dislike-for-Tristan attitude from her.
The November 2 episode featured Kourtney Kardashian asking her 11-year-old daughter Penelope to wait for Khloe Kardashian to pick her up from Kourtney’s Palm Springs home. She added that Tristan Thompson would also accompany Khloe. When she further questioned Penelope whether she was okay with Tristan’s coming too, the kid’s nonchalant reply was “Yeah, I’m fine”. Elaborating on Penelope’s attitude, her mother revealed that she believed Penelope adopted her aversion towards Tristan because it was Kourtney who was “triggered by him”.
“I feel like she gets it from me. I told her on the first day of school that I was so triggered by him (Tristan Thompson). I don’t know why but I feel like we all brush it off and are fine, and then I was just so triggered and I was like, ‘I just can’t do it anymore” shared Kourtney Kardashian to the cameras, as cited by People. Continuing her opinion on Tristan, Kourtney added that Tristan definitely made some “horrible decisions and choices” with her sister Khloe Kardashian. Although at times she gets triggered by him, at other times she simply lets the matter pass away to establish harmony and peace in the family. “You know, he’s the father of my niece and nephew,” said Kourtney.
In the same episode, Khloe Kardashian disclosed that although she is in a good space with Tristan now after their split up, she would not pressurise her family members, including her niece Penelope to feel the same way. “If Penelope has feelings about Tristan, rightfully so… I want Penelope to have these feelings. I want her to know that how she feels is the right way to feel. We should not accept someone treating us like this,” said Khloe.
As per US Weekly, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson called it quits on February 19.
