How to Draw an Avocado
How to Draw an Avocado
Avocados are tasty fruits with fat, green, oily meat that is rather delicious. Avocados can be the subject of many drawings as they can be presented in many ways. This wikiHow will show you how to draw an avocado whole, in half, as guacamole and even as even as a cute figure fit will eyes and a mouth!
Steps

Drawing a Whole Avocado

Sketch two round circles: a bigger one on the bottom and a smaller one on the top. They should both be overlapping each other. Make the circles as plump as you can. The more plump the more realistic it looks.

Draw a parallel line on each side of the two circles. This line should connect the two circles creating a full avocado base.

Erase all the excess circles and lines. If your avocado starts looking like a pear, you can add bumps and make it lumpier.

Color it dark green with watercolor or colored pencils. You will need a really dark green that could almost look black. This gives it a more avocado-ish look to it. If you want to, you can add a stem, but it isn’t mandatory as it may let the avocado look like a pear if not done correctly.

Drawing Half of an Avocado

Draw two overlapping circles. This is the same outline as drawing a whole avocado, but instead it's only half of an avocado.

Connect the two circles. Now that you have an outline of an avocado, you can begin erasing any excess lines.

Draw the round pit. This is the easiest part, because there's no erasing the pit.

Draw a large raindrop shape around the circle. This is the ripe, yellowish green meat of the avocado.

Sketch in the bumpy skin of the avocado. This would be colored in a dark forest green.

Paint the colors in. The pit should be a dark orange color, with the meat a lime/yellow. Fade the lime into a dark green, and voilà, an avocado!

Drawing a Cute Avocado

Draw a rounded raindrop shape. Since it's a simple, cute avocado, there's no need for fancy sketching. Just be careful and slow while drawing the outline.

Draw the pit seed. A simple circle will do, just nothing too big.

Draw two small circles for eyes. You can draw whatever face you like, but this is just an idea. You can put on eyelashes, or even a little mouth. You can add a little bow to it, add a purse, you can even add sunglasses. Whatever you like!

Add color. You can use markers or watercolors. Any one you prefer.

Drawing Guacomole

Draw a bowl. You can draw any bowl you prefer, but the simplest one looks like a smiley face with a line over it.

Draw some mush in there. Guacamole is basically squished avocados, right? Make it mushy, then add some little squares. Draw a couple of herbs/vegetables in there like cilantro, onions, and basil.

Color the bowl. This part is easy. It can be a fancy mexican bowl with beautiful patterns and drawings on it, or it can be a plain black bowl. Any way you prefer.

Color in the guacamole. Lime would be the best color. (You can use other colors, but it wouldn't really look like guacamole anymore.) Color the tomatoes with red and the herb leafs a dark green. Add black specks of pepper in for detail.

Add in a pile of tortilla chips. Draw triangles, and little squares. Color it in a beige/tan. Cover it with little brown specks.

What's your reaction?
