How to Go Online in Uber Driver During the Coronavirus Pandemic
As all Uber Drivers have come to know now that the Coronavirus pandemic has become a big name, going online isn't as easy as just pressing one button anymore. There's a process involved prior to tapping and going online.
Steps

Open up Uber Driver - much like you would normally do had the coronavirus pandemic not been here. The app on your device is black and says Uber on it, and even has a right-pointing arrow beneath it.

Tap the "Go" button. This will initialize the system to find out if you've completed their imaging steps within the last 24 hours. If the tones chime downwards and another button appears just below the Action Required bar saying "Confirm COVID-19 precautions " , you'll know you'll have to complete the new steps.

Tap the "Confirm COVID-19 precautions" button.

Consent to both required safety policy declarations saying that "I'm wearing a face cover or mask" and that "I won't drive if I may have COVID-19 or related symptoms." However, realize there are some additional steps you have to take to prove that you are wearing a face cover or mask. Tap the button to the left of "I'm wearing..." and complete the process. Put on your mask - including having the mask cover your nose and mouth. Tap the Next button once you've learned that you must take a selfie of yourself wearing your mask. Put your face in the circular guide and tap the black and white circle at the bottom of the screen - below the "Take a photo with your face cover or mask on" instructions. Wait for the circular dots to disappear from the revised shutter button. That should check the button for this part of the process.

Consent to not driving if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or similar symptoms. Tap the circular button to the left of "I won't drive if..."

Fill out any other buttons that describe you from the "Help keep your community safe" menu. You have two other items you can pick and choose from including "I disinfect my vehicle at the start & end of the day" (including using disinfectant wipes and other sanitary-keeping measures) and-or "I wash or sanitize my hands regularly". Not checking either of these isn't going to prevent you from not being able to go online, but it's nice for Uber to feel safe knowing you can keep your body and car clean and COVID-19 free.

Tap the "Ready to drive" button. Tapping this button will send you back out into the map.

Tap "Go" to initiate a normal driving session, or use your Filtered Trips feature to use that feature instead to filter trips towards a specific destination.

What's your reaction?
