Add some ice cubes to your collins glass.
Cut the lime in half. Take one half and cut that into quarters. Put 3 of the small slices in the collins glass.
Pour the cachaca and crème de cassis into the glass.
Use the rest of the lime and squeeze the juice from there into the glass.
Stir everything together with a bar spoon.
Pour the ginger ale on the top for a finishing touch.
