Open the Reddit app. It's the orange app with a white cartoon alien in the center. If you don't have the Reddit app you can download it from the App Store and sign in with your Reddit username and password.
Go to a post you want to comment on. You can look for a post in your main Reddit feed or you can search for one by tapping the magnifying glass icon at the bottom.
Tap the speech bubble icon below a post. The "comment" button is the icon that resembles a speech bubble in the center just below every post. It will display the number of comments there are next to it, or it will say "Comment" if there are no comments. This will take you to the comments section of the post.
Tap Add a comment. It's in a bar at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up a pop-up window where you can compose your comment. If you want to respond to a specific comment the OP has made you can tap the "reply" button under their comment. The OP will have a blue microphone icon next to their username in the comments.
Type your comment. Type your message where it says "Your comment."
Tap Send. It's in the upper-right corner. This posts your reply to the comments section and the person who made the post will be notified that you have replied to their post.
