Read the label first. It is vital that you read the label of the vaccine every time that you are about to vaccinate sheep. Even if you already know the label by heart, you still have to read it; otherwise you are making a criminal offense.
Record in a notebook what sheep you are vaccinating, the date and the vaccine batch. This important because if you forget and revaccinate the sheep it may get poisoned.
Get a syringe and needle. Fill up the syringe to the desired amount. The most common is an 18 gauge needle that is 5/8 inch (2 cm) in length.
Disinfect the needle. It is best to use disposable needles, but that is costly.
Inject the needle. Either side of the neck is most common. For small lambs normally you pinch the skin and inject the liquid parallel to the skin and for full grown sheep you can jab it into the meat. When the needle goes in you should hear a pop noise.
Safely dispose the needles.
Make sure you store the vaccinations properly when you have finished injecting the sheep. Putting them in the bottom of your fridge is a suitable place.
