Nayanthara is currently riding high on the success of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan which emerged as a blockbuster at the box office. Her other film Iraivan tanked at the box office but that has not affected her stardom.
The actress recently started a new cosmetic business and sells cosmetics under her brand name 9 Skin. She is promoting these products on social media and recently sent some of these cosmetic products to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Samantha was elated to receive the gift and shared a photo on Instagram Stories.
Samantha wrote, “These ingredients look amazing. Can’t wait to try @nayanthara @9skinofficial All the very best.” Nayanthara reshared this Story on Instagram and wrote, “Awww thank u My Cutie @samantharuthprabhuoffl.”
Nayanthara and Samantha have acted together in the film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal revolves around the storyline of Rambo (Vijay Sethupathi) who lives a double life as a cab driver and bouncer. He falls in love with two women, Kanmani Ganguly (Nayanthara) and Khatija Begum (Samantha) with contrasting personalities.
Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal received mixed reviews from the critics with many criticising the film for its patriarchial themes. According to the critics, it is wrong to justify the concept of two women healing a man, just because he has grown up with a lot of insecurities. Prabhu, S Sreesanth, and others acted in this film written and directed by Vignesh Shivan.
Samantha once shared her experience of working with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in an interview with The Times of India. She said, “I had a lot of fun working with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, and off-screen as well, we have a good relationship. I think we are stronger together and can do great work together.”
