Why Does Jr. NTR Have 9999 On All His Cars? Know The Story Behind His Unique Car Numbers

Srikanth and Chiranjeevi, two prominent figures in the Telugu film industry, are famous for their passion for cars. They boast of a diverse and huge car collection. Besides them, Jr. NTR also shares this passion for cars and is often seen flaunting his sizable collection. Recently, he acquired a Lamborghini from the renowned brand Faren, a luxury investment exceeding Rs 5 crore.

What may be surprising to many is that all of Jr. NTR’s cars share the same registration number. Even both his Range Rover Autobiography and BMW car bear the same registration number.

In the Telugu film industry, sentiments play a significant role from the inception of a movie until its release. Similarly, many actors also adhere to sentiments when it comes to their vehicle registration numbers. There has been a popular belief that NTR (Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao) follows a sentiment with his car number, 9999.

But this turns out to be a rumour. NTR himself clarified that he doesn’t particularly adhere to sentiments but has an affinity for the number 9. He mentioned that his grandfather’s car had the number 9999, and his father also used the same number, for which he inclined it. You can even spot the number 9999 on NTR’s Twitter account.

Jr. NTR insists that his cars will always bear the registration number 9999, not out of superstition, but as a homage to his favourite individuals who have shared this number.

Known as Tarak or Jr. NTR, N.T. Rama Rao Jr. is a celebrated action hero. He is the grandson of the legendary Telugu actor and politician N.T. Rama Rao. He holds the distinction of being the most accomplished star in the Nandamuri family within the Telugu film industry in his generation.

Jr. NTR is best known for films like RRR, Aadi, Janatha Garage, and To Father with Love. Some of his other releases include Aravindha Sametha, Temper, Rabhasa, Baadshah, Dhammu, Sakthi, and Rama Rama Krishna Krishna.
