Bangalore: A 14-year-old girl has committed suicide after her boyfriend, who she met on Facebook, dumped her. Her boyfriend had allegedly raped her after promising to marry her.
The victim is the daughter of a college lecturer and was studying in the 9th standard. This incident has been reported from Mahalakshmi Layout in Bangalore.
She committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan, when her parents were not at home. Her mother who works in a private company found a death note on her body. In a three page suicide note, the girl asked the police to punish her boyfriend who dumped her. She claims that the boy has cheated many other girls in a similar way.
The victim's mother said that she was aware of the affair and had even warned the boy to stay away from her daughter. The police have arrested the accused, Manoj, who is doing B.Com at a private college in Bangalore.
