18,117 take SSLC exam

PUDUCHERRY: A total of 18117 students out of  19845 appeared for the SSLC examination in Puducherry and Karaikal which began on Wednesday. E Vallavan, director, school education, said no malpractices were reported on the first day of examinations.Nine flying squads were on duty to detect malpractices. Twelve private students, who did not attend the practicals, were not allowed to sit for the examinations.
