BANGALORE: Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested two persons for illegally refilling LPG from domestic cylinders and selling them in the black market. The accused have been identified as Daulath (35) of Anjanapura and KV Ravi (23) of JP Nagar. Police said that they are getting many complaints from the public that the LPG from the domestic cylinders are illegally refilled in the commercial cylinders and cylinders used by autorickshaws. Based on a tip off, the police raided a place in Kembathahalli village in Thalaghattapura police station limits and arrested the accused. Police have recovered total 50 cylinders including Indane (8), HP (3), Bharat (1) and 38 commercial cylinders from the accused. The police have seized gas connecting pipe, filling rods, hand pump, weighing machines, a goods tempo, an auto-rickshaw, three mobile phones from the accused.The accused were not taking any precautionary measures during refilling cylinders and it might have caused damage to the public and private property, the police said. Thalaghattapura police have registered a case and investigating it.
