2 arrested for raping mentally challenged

BANGALORE: A 42 year old mentally challenged woman was raped by two labourers in Ashokanagar police station limits on Thursday morning.
The accused Parthhasarathi (30) and Suresh Kumar (28), residents of Akkitimmanahalli have been arrested by the police. The woman earned her livelihood by begging in Shantinagar. Parthasarathi and Suresh, who are daily wage workers, took her to the Hindu crematorium at Shantinagar, at around 9 am and have assaulted her.Some passersby found the woman was being manhandled and rushed to the spot. The accused were caught and thrashed by the public before they were handed over to the Ashokanagar police. Police said that one of the accused has no family, while another is deserted by his wife and children.
