NAYAGARH: At least six persons, including five school students, died when a van carrying High School Certificate examinees collided with a truck near Nuagaon in Nayagarh district on Tuesday. The students of Sanpada High School were returning home at Kanigiri village after writing the exams at around 10 am when the accident took place. Five students and the driver of the ill-fated van died on the spot, while four others were injured. Sub-Collector Manas Ranjan Devata rushed to the spot to supervise rescue operations. Three of the injured students were immediately rushed to the SCB Medical, Cuttack, where one succumbed. The condition of the rest two is stated to be critical.
