BANGALORE: Karnataka Rajya Raita Shakti and the family members of Asha G, a final-year law student from Tumkur who allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison on the Central College campus last week, have demanded the suspension of Bangalore University Registrar (Evaluation) T R Subramanya for his ‘harsh behaviour’ with the victim.Asha, who being treated at a private hospital, is said to be still in a critical condition. Her husband Govindraj has said that the whole family will commit suicide on the campus, if justice is not done. “I am not threatening, but the family is depending on her for survival and we are helpless now,” he told in a press conference today.Asha had come to the administrative office on the campus to pay the examination fee. The Ulsoor Gate Police are investigating the case.VC speaksMeanwhile, Sumbramanya denied to comment on the issue. However, VC Dr N Prabhu Dev said, “According to Subramanya’s earlier statement, the victim did not meet him at all. We will allow the student to attend the exam,” he assured.
