Allahabad High Court on Thursday gave four week' time to the Election Commission to file its reply on a petition seeking that the registration of 51 political parties be quashed.

Allahabad High Court on Thursday gave four week' time to the Election Commission to file its reply on a petition seeking that the registration of 51 political parties be quashed.

The Lucknow bench comprising Justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and D K Upadhyay passed the order on a PIL filed by a local lawyer A M Shukla.

The PIL alleged that constitution of these parties filed before EC was not in accordance with EC's guidelines.
