New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested DIG (Prisons) Samuel Johnson for allegedly offering a bribe of Rs 50,000 to Additional DG Lokendera Sharma.
The bribe was paid allegedly to recommend him for promotion. But Sharma called the Anti-Corruption Bureau who have now registered a case.
Statements have been recorded. Johnson claims that he had apparently got the money to pay a friend for a laptop but the money "accidentally" reached the Additional DG's office.
