BANGALORE: Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has said that the the state government has finalised the name of former Kerala High Court Chief Justice S R Bannurmath for the post of Lokayukta and dismissed allegations that the Opposition leaders were not consulted on choosing the new Lokayukta.“We have recommended Justice Bannurmath only after duly following the procedure and consulting Opposition Leaders of both the Houses of the state Legislature and the Chief Justice of the state High Court,” the chief minister told reporters here on Friday.On charges against Justice Bannurmath of constructing a house in a Civic Amenity plot at Judicial Layout, the CM said that he was not aware of any such thing.“I would find out,” he said and added that “it was difficult to find anyone in the country who hasn’t been facing any charges”.
