As a precautionary measure, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike authorities have switched off the server after Saturday’s fire mishap. The authorities are laying electric cables which will avoid any electrical shock and fire hazards in future.According to Sheshadri T, IT advisor to BBMP Commissioner, the wires connected to server room are not damaged. However, as part of safety measures, installation of electric wires in all the buildings in BBMP office premises is going on. “Moreover, the spot inspection is still going on. For this, we had to switch off the server,” he said.Sheshadri said once the installation work gets over, it will take just a couple of hours for them to reboot the service. “It is not in our hand. We too are waiting for installation of wires to get over so that work will resume soon,” he added.
